The deal, in plain words.

These terms are an agreement between you and Orvantia (“we”), which builds and runs Nutrition OS by Orvantia (“the app”). By creating an account or using the app you accept them, together with our Privacy Policy. Last updated 27 September 2026.

1. Who can use it

You must be 18 or older. The app is not for children, and we close accounts that we learn belong to someone under 18.
Use your own Google account, and only for yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account, so keep your devices and Google account secure.
During early access we may limit how many new accounts can join and use a waitlist.

2. Not medical advice

The app gives estimates, not medical, nutritional or fitness advice. Calorie and macro targets come from standard formulas, and food values are typical figures. Real foods, portions and bodies vary.
It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for a doctor, dietitian or trainer.
Talk to a qualified professional before changing your diet or training, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a medical condition, take medication, or have had an eating disorder.
Stop and get help if you feel unwell. In an emergency, contact local emergency services.

3. Food data and features

Built-in foods are estimates we prepared from public food composition tables. Barcode data comes from Open Food Facts, a community database (© Open Food Facts contributors, Open Database License). Check numbers against the label or your own recipe when accuracy matters.
“Snap your plate” (beta) uses Google Gemini to suggest foods and portions from a photo. It is optional, only for adults, often inaccurate, and you confirm every item before anything is logged. Photos you send are subject to Google's terms, as explained on the privacy page. Don't photograph people, documents or anything private.
Features marked Beta may change or be removed. We may add, change or retire features as the product develops.

4. Your data

What you log is yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the app for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Your logs are visible only to you and to anyone you send a share link. Share links work for anyone who has them until you turn them off.
You can export or delete your data at any time from Profile.

5. Fair use

Please don't:

break the law, or use the app to harm, harass or deceive anyone;
try to access other people's data, probe or attack our systems, or get around limits and security. If you find a security problem, please email abhinaybakkera@orvantia.in instead;
scrape, copy or resell the app or its food database, or use automated tools to overload it;
put offensive or unlawful content in names, notes or custom foods.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or other people at risk. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you why first.

6. Price

The app is free during early access. If we ever introduce paid features, we will tell you clearly in advance and you will never be charged without agreeing.

7. Availability and our responsibility

We work to keep the app running, accurate and secure, but we provide it “as is” and can't promise it will always be available, error-free or suited to your particular goal.
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions made on the basis of the app's estimates.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Indian consumer law that cannot legally be limited.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using the app and delete your account whenever you like. If we ever shut the app down, we will give reasonable notice so you can export your data.

9. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we update the date above and ask you to review and accept them in the app before you continue.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first so we can try to sort things out. If we can't, the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana, India will have jurisdiction.
